I started out working as an apprentice seamstress at the age of 18. I was certified a year later, and was in charge of alterations from the local clothing stores in my home town ,as well as making clothing for clientel. In 1973 I started working for the Fabric Department at American Athletic Inc. until retiring in 2005. At the request from my sister and dear friend whom both are Methodist ministers to design and make them stoles and scapulars, the love of designing and sewing returned.
